Herb store plants roots in Ridgway
A hip new trend has come to Ridgway with longstanding historic roots — kava roots, to be precise.
Sara Taylor, who boasts 20 years of experience as an herbalist, recently opened Herbal Roots Apothecary & Kava Bar in a shared space with the Yoga Shala at 540 Sherman St. Taylor will serve kava drinks at the bar, and she is well-stocked in herbal remedies for all sorts of ailments.
Taylor sources her kava root from “Kava Dave” in Hawaii, whom she met in 2013 and considers a good friend.
