County enforces lodging restrictions with a feather, not a fist

“Go away.”
It’s a tough message to send out into the world, for a community hard-wired to woo tourists to stay and play.
But ever since March 20, due to the coronavirus outbreak, Ouray County and its municipalities have been enforcing strict limitations on short-term rentals and overn ight lodging aimed at preventing out-of-towners from high-tail ing it to our high-country to wait out the pandemic.
