The combined Ridgway-Ouray schools climbing team traveled to the American Scholastic Climbing League State Championship last month in Colorado Springs, held at Gripstone Climbing & Fitness. Pictured from left are team members Calvin Yeowell, Drew Wade, Leo Smith, Ian Snapp, Coach Jonathan Zaugg and Ella Skoloda. In the junior varsity girls' division, Skoloda placed second out of 39 competitors. Smith placed eighth out of 60 competitors. He is currently ranked third in the region.
