Dear Editor: My heart goes out to Kricket Olin, former alpine ranger, with the Ouray Ranger District of the Uncompahgre National Forest. She was incredibly qualified for that position and had received outstanding performance ratings by her supervisors, too. She had recently entered her three-year probationary period required by a civil servant to attain permanent status.
