Dear Editor: I want to thank you for publishing the very informative article by Lindsey Toomer of the Colorado Newsline and the policies of our police (Feb. 6-12 edition). I am personally very concerned for those of Ouray and Montrose counties who have so faithfully bussed out restaurant tables, washed our dishes, cleaned our motel rooms and hospital rooms, done construction, among other jobs. Some of these people, who may be undocumented, still pay taxes, and some have even started their own businesses that further serve the general public. The great majority are upstanding citizens who obey the laws and respect their ability to live and work here.
