Dear Editor: I am appalled, dismayed and enraged that alleged rapist Brian Scranton pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual assault in spite of basically admitting to forced intercourse without consent as evidenced by his statement, “I thought it was my wife.” Is that an excuse? This is Scranton’s second time being charged with the same offense considering the alleged rape in May of 2015. I must insert “alleged” or this letter can’t be published.
