November 29, 1974 – Adult education courses in Ouray were still under consideration, the School Improvement Committee reported at the Nov. 25 School Board meeting. Depending on interest, 12 courses would be offered at the first of the year, including Spanish, Photography, Modern Math, Biology or Archaeology, Typing, Beginning Sewing, Intermediate Sewing, Leathercraft, Weaving and Surveying. Two of the courses, Typing and Surveying, had been approved for funding. The other classes must be paid for by the students in advance, figuring cost according to the number of students necessary to reimburse the instructor at $9 per instructional hour.
