Blue Lakes to adopt permit system
Hikers, campers will be required to reserve limited spots as soon as summer 2025
A permit system is coming as soon as next year for those who want to hike to the Blue Lakes southwest of Ridgway, now that the U.S. Forest Service has signed a final decision on a plan to manage 16,200 acres, including the Mt. Sneffels Wilderness.
