Dear Editor: I write to commend the editors, reporters and entire staff of the Plaindealer on the many awards the paper received last week from the Colorado Press Association. Your work without a doubt makes Ouray County and the entire region a better place to live. While I occasionally read complaints to the editor about your reporting on controversial issues, I encourage you to pour on the coal. Please keep the fire burning and the light shining where it is needed most. Ignorance may be bliss to the ignorant, but it is fatal to a free and democratic society.
