Dear Editor: I am writing to endorse Ellen Angeles for the District 3 representative to the State Board of Education. As a former teacher and principal for 32 years, I would like to see Ellen fill this very important position. Ellen is running for this position so she can have a positive impact on the 27 school districts in District 3. School District and state education policy has become very confusing. I welcome the lens of an educator and parent on the State Board of Education. This is an unpaid, six-year volunteer position.
