Dear Editor: My grandson, who lives with me, returned from Florida with COVID and within a week I had it. My form transmuted into something called long-term COVID, which meant I could not taste anything, smell anything (later everything smelled fecal), I had no energy or stamina, and my usually low heart rate dropped to a dangerous level. I lost about 20 pounds because I could not eat anything, became dehydrated and had to check into Longmont United Hospital.
