Dear Editor: We enthusiastically second Tom and Martha McKenney’s letter to the editor in last week’s edition. Ouray County is a spectacular place to live, work and recreate precisely because generations past and present have fought to keep it that way. So, as the county’s Master Plan update process comes to fruition over the next few months, it’s time to weigh in to protect and preserve what we cherish – pristine mountain and valley vistas, large expanses of working landscapes, abundant wildlife and forest resources, all-season recreation opportunities, and a true sense of community.
