May 9, 1974 - The Ouray City Council has its first woman member, as of this week. Margaret Kircher was nominated at Monday night’s council meeting to replace Bob Zanett, whose resignation was effective May 1. Hers was the only nomination, and approval was unanimous from the balance of the council.
