April 18, 1974 - The City of Ouray will receive $16,577.90 in grant money for the city swimming pool park improvements from the Colorado Parks & Outdoor Recreation Commission, it was announced this week. Although official notification had not yet reached the mayor, Frank Massard, Wednesday this week, the grant allocation was announced Monday at Montrose. The grant is based on a half and half proposition, the city to pay its share or a matching $16,577.90 on the proposed improvements at the pool park. Total cost of improvements as specified in the city application was $33,155.80.
