Dear Editor: I was very pleased to see that the 2024 spending bill keeping the government open included over $1 million for our Corbett Creek Bridge installation. Replacing the bridge is badly needed for safety and access for the people using that bridge on a daily basis to access the Whispering Pines subdivision. It has frequently washed out County Road 17 after heavy rains.
