Dear Editor: As residents of the town of Ridgway, and the parents of four young children, we cannot say enough about how awesome this town is. From its vibrant, creative community, to its environmental awareness and proximity to nature, to its reinvestment in the experience of its residents, Ridgway has captured our hearts for a decade. Thus, we were devastated and confused to read that the town plans to resurface the playground with rubber, seemingly contradicting some of its core values. We plead with town councilors and fellow residents to reconsider this choice.
