Ouray Mayor Ethan Funk applauds after presenting a plaque to outgoing City Councilor John Wood on Monday recognizing Wood’s four years of service on the council.

Wood lost his re-election bid last month to Michael Underwood, below, who was sworn in during Monday’s council meeting by municipal Judge Lane Thomasson. Underwood was elected to a four-year term. Councilor Peggy Lindsey and Funk were also sworn in after running unopposed and winning re-election. Lindsey will serve a four-year term, while Funk will serve two years.
