Dear Editor: I am writing out of frustration and concern regarding the recent proposals to further restrict short-term rentals in Ouray County. While I wholeheartedly support the idea of fair and balanced regulations for our communities, I believe it is essential to view STRs as an opportunity rather than a problem. Instead of clamping down on them, we should be exploring ways to support local small businesses, foster growth, and nurture the thriving economy that depends on tourism throughout the year.
