August 23, 1973 - The Ouray City Council has refused the one and only bid of $157,383 for the new pool bathhouse construction, submitted by the Christopher Moore Construction Co., Montrose, and the council is looking into alternative proposals to get the bathhouse in place by next season. Tensions are building as winter approaches, and it is apparent that the council is searching every avenue to try to get things rolling before the snow flies.
