Dear Editor: When Donald Trump tried to steal my right to vote in the 2020 election, I considered it the single most brazen attack on America in my lifetime. Nothing else comes close. In simple terms, what Trump tried to do was to ensure that the will of the people wouldn’t interfere with the whim of his colossal, deformed ego. Had he not been so inept and had he actually succeeded, all Americans — not just Democrats or Independents — would have lost their precious democracy … possibly forever.
