Angel Creek Campground southwest of Ouray reopened on Monday after U.S. Forest Service officials cleared more than 140 hazardous trees.

The Forest Service closed the campground May 31 after identifying diseased or rotted trees or those showing structural weakness that could have fallen on visitors.
