A Ouray man was arrested for suspected driving under the influence after he allegedly drove a Toyota 4-Runner down the bank into the Uncompahgre River on Saturday.

The accident was reported around 5 p.m. on June 3, when the vehicle went down the embankment into the river off County Road 17, about half a mile south of Whispering Pine Drive north of Ouray.
