Nonprofit marks 30 years of focusing on life-quality issues
The Ridgway-Ouray Community Council will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Friday, June 9 at Pa-Co-Chu-Puk’s Pavilion A in Ridgway State Park from 4 to 8 p.m. This year, ROCC’n by the River features a presentation on Colorado’s wolf reintroduction program after presenting its Outstanding Citizen of the Year award.
According to Ridgway resident John Hollrah, who joined the organization in 1995, ROCC began as an outlet for local opposition to a proposed City Market in the center of Ridgway.
