Stop demonizing short-term rentals
Dear Editor:
As one with an interest in two short-term rentals (STRs) licensed in Ridgway, I’m compelled to respond to the seeming drumbeat of misinformation about STRs appearing in the Plaindealer. Now we hear that STRs are “the root cause of the housing problem”, quoting none other than Ridgway Area Chamber of Commerce Board President Adam Dubroff, speaking at this month’s Town Council meeting (reported on page 3 of the Plaindealer’s May 18-24, 2023, issue).
