Teachers in the Ouray School District will receive a 9.6% boost in base pay after the school board unanimously approved a salary increase Monday night.

The base salary for a teacher with a bachelor’s degree, starting in their first year working for the Ouray district, has increased from $37,600 to $41,200. The 177-day contract remains the same.
