‘The calm in the middle of the storm’
For Ouray County’s newest victim advocate, Tabitha Champlin, taking on a job to help people during some of the hardest times of their lives was a no-brainer.
Champlin’s passion to help others was first sparked when she began working as a certified nursing assistant at 17 years old. She continued to develop that skill set as she worked her way up to her current role as director of Elk Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Montrose.
