Ridgway’s Vinny Schierenberg competes in the 400-meter dash last weekend at the Tiger Invitational Meet in Grand Junction, where he earned fourth place. Schierenberg is one of five athletes on the combined Ouray-Ridgway-Silverton track team to qualify for the state track & field championships next week in Denver. The boys’ team is also sending Justin Beserra, Roman Sackman and Caleb Crandall. The girls’ team is sending Lily Berwanger.
