For the last three years, COVID-19 has dictated and dominated most, and at times all, of the day-to-day business at the Ouray County Public Health department.

In the height of the pandemic, that meant serving as the primary testing source in the county, running drivethrough test sites and coordinating daily testing. Then as the sole provider of vaccinations, the health department headed up a clinic at the 4-H Center to dole out thousands of shots.
