Let’s keep the wave going here
Dear Editor:
When we moved here eight years ago, we were delighted to see just about everyone exchanging waves on the roads around here. It’s an old Western tradition I first encountered in New Mexico in 1980. It’s a way of saying hello to one’s neighbors. I’ve noticed that as more and more people move into the area, I see less and less waving to one another. So here’s a friendly tip: if you want to be a local, please wave to us! It makes us smile.
