Ouray County will allow silver mine employees 12 hours to transport equipment, fuel and other supplies up to the Revenue Virginius Mine with vehicles on Camp Bird Road.

The route has been closed at Senator Gulch since March 1, after a winter maintenance agreement allowing the mine to plow the road and conduct avalanche mitigation expired. The county spent months negotiating the agreement before it fell apart and the road was closed.
