Ridgway leaning toward lodging tax hike
The Ridgway Town Council appeared closer to reaching a decision on raising the town’s lodging tax to generate money for affordable housing this week, after three discussions on where to find funding to address the town’s housing shortage.
At a meeting Monday, most of the councilors seemed to be leaning toward increasing the 3.5% nightly tax on room rentals, which is paid by both hotels and shortterm rentals.
