Dear Editor:

U.S. Highway 550 is a dangerous highway, especially the Million Dollar Highway stretch! The remainder of the highway claims many lives also because of dangerous stupid drivers. I saw a car heading south out of Montrose with the bumper sticker that said: “Pray for me I drive Hwy. 550.”

Those of us in Ouray County who drive the speed limit expect to be passed by speeders, including when there is a single or double line.
