River Park overdose ruled accidental

A 42-year-old woman who died at a River Park home in Ridgway in January died from an overdose of alcohol and multiple drugs, including fentanyl, according to an autopsy report the Plaindealer obtained using a public records request.

Nicole Brookes died on Jan. 21 at the home where she was staying, in the 600 block of River Park Drive. She was not a permanent resident there, according to law enforcement. Her death was ruled accidental by the Ouray County Coroner...
