Climber dies after rescue in Ice Park
A 27-year-old Fort Collins man who was found unconscious in the Ouray Ice Park on Feb. 24 died as a result of asphyxiation.
A group of climbers found Ryan Wong that afternoon hanging from his harness and rope on an ice wall. They were able to reach him and lower him down to perform CPR, resuscitating him before a helicopter transported him to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction.
