Debate over gas stoves misses point

It seems to me that all the discussions about gas stoves miss one major factor: House construction has changed. Forty years ago, I worked on indoor air quality. We measured home ventilation as “air exchanges” per hour. Most homes were around 1.4 air exchanges per hour and many were over 2. Today, houses are wrapped with Tyvek, windows are tight, homeowners seal doors to save energy, and more houses have air conditioning. The air exchange rate now is often below 0.4.
