Ouray County commissioners unanimously passed a 2023 budget on Tuesday that utilizes over $800,000 from the county’s fund balance and provides for three new positions.

Both revenues and expenses for the county will rise by more than 10% year-over-year, and Administrator Connie Hunt said this is partly due to federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act.
