Ballot measure 6A, asking for voter approval to expand the allowable uses for lodging tax collected by the Local Marketing District, passed handily on Tuesday by a margin of 69% to 31%.
Up to 40% of lodging tax revenue collected after Election Day can now be directed toward projects that ‘improve the visitor experience’ in the valley. It does not create a new tax or increase existing taxes.
