Speeding still a concern on county roads
If you see a plume of dust rising behind your vehicle while cruising down a dirt road, you’re going too fast, according to Ouray County Road and Bridge Superintendent Ty Barger.
Speeding on county roads has become a major issue for safety, staffing and financial reasons, he told commissioners at a work session Sept. 7.
Sheriff Justin Perry, county commissioners and members of the public agreed. About 10 showed up Wednesday to voice their concerns and brainstorm mitigation strategies.
