Dear Editor: So there’s a plan to get county permission to rebuild the old Fairway Pines golf course clubhouse into refugee housing.

Why would anyone want to stick two dozen 20-year-old war-torn refugees up on a golf course in a sleepy corner of a sleepy county? Why put them up with the retirees, golfers and dog walkers?

Wouldn’t the truly Christian thing be to make sure those kids are near other young folks, with other Ukrainians for support, and near a Ukrainian church? Not to mention sc...
