Dear Editor: In light of the recent sexual assault trial against John Warren, owner of Red Mountain Brewing here in Ouray, we think it is important that folks living in our community be aware of a local resource that exists for victims of crime: a victim’s advocate, Elaine Wood.

In her role, Elaine is charged with:

• Working with the Ridgway Marshal’s Office, Ouray Po- lice Department, and Ouray County Sheriff’s Office to meet with victims and explain the Victim Rights Act;
