50 YEARS AGO

September 7, 1972 – There has been a noticeable increase in interest and competition at the Ouray County Fair the past two years. This year, the growing interest was reflected by the large number of entries. Judges, Fair Board members and committee workers had their work cut out for them, but managed to keep everything rolling along well, and plans are already being discussed in anticipation of an even bigger event next year.
