Dear Editor: Aug. 26, 2022, marks the 102nd anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution by which American women won the right to vote and solidified their right to run for political office. After a 72-year struggle, a mere 39 words mightily changed the political scene! Think of all the women who have been and are now elected officials in city, state and national offices — and judges too!
