When I moved to Ouray County, I was surprised to see both Western and Mountain bluebirds. I saw my first male Mountain Bluebird driving up to Elk Meadows. I could not get over how beautiful he was. I saw my first male Western Bluebird at a lower elevation during fall migration on a county road and thought he was beautiful, too.
