I expected better from our county commissioners at the marijuana ordinance work session last week. After years of ignoring pleas from families living near cultivation facilities, the Board of County Commissioners doubled down. They agreed to allow two more cultivation licenses, a setback distance (between a home and a cultivation facility) of only 1,000 feet, and allow 9,000 plants per property.
