Road to Yankee Boy Basin to reopen after flooding, mudslides

Ouray County officials plan to reopen County Road 361 later today (Thursday) following mudslides that buried and damaged the popular high-country road leading to Yankee Boy Basin on Wednesday.

The decision to reopen the road came just a few hours after county leaders announced earlier in the day Thursday that the road would remain closed above Thistledown Campground through the weekend.
