July 13, 1972 – Ouray’s Chipeta Theater has been made totally safe for public use, and is again operating full blast. Damage to the exterior wall had effectively put the theater out of commission for a time, but extensive (and expensive) repairs have been completed and approved by the Ouray City Council.
