Discussion shifts on possible tax question
Citizens who initiated a ballot proposal to fund four new deputies for the Ouray County Sheriff’s Office were not pleased with changes to their original proposal presented by County Attorney Leo Caselli at a Board of County Commissioners work session last week, and commissioners are now leaning toward asking voters to fund the department with a sales tax as opposed to the originally proposed property tax increase.
