Stage set for new theater company

A longtime director is launching her own theater company in Ridgway, and plans on a June debut with the company’s first performance at the Ouray County 4-H Events Center.

“Shrek! The Musical” will be the first performance for Kathleen O’Mara’s Minerva West theater company.

O’Mara started Minerva Stage in 1996, when she was living in the Berkshires in Massachusetts. Though she earned a degree in political science, she worked in theater. She chose to name her company ...
