County cracks down on camping on public land

Ouray County is cracking down on camping on county-owned land and roads, citing issues on Camp Bird Road, County Road 5 and near other trailheads.

County commissioners approved a first reading of a new ordinance last week, and scheduled a second reading later this month. If approved then, it would take effect June 25.
