New Ouray County judge appointed

An attorney in Ouray has been appointed to become the newest county court judge in Ouray County.

Gov. Jared Polis earlier this month named Lane Thomasson to fill a vacancy on the Ouray County Court in the Seventh Judicial District. She will replace Zachary Martin, who stepped down from the bench earlier this year and is moving out of the area.

Thomasson was selected ahead of two other finalists for the position, Ridgway attorney Roger Sagal and Grand Junction attorney Randy Brown.
